Just a little bad news. We received a copy of the official invitation to the Ukraine. Our date has been changed to August 11, not July 11. It is okay. God has a plan. We will have to change our airline tickets but they are completely changeable for no fee. Hopefully that will all go well. So just keep us in your prayers as we go from being 42 days away to 73 days away. Thanks for all your payers.

We have our tickets. We will be leaving on July 9th. Our flight leaves El Paso at 8:00 a.m. and we arrive in the Ukraine at 4:45 on the 10th. Our appointment is on the 11th. So we will just be arriving in time for that. We tried to leave on the 8th but the flights were booked. Could have something to do with the 4th I supposed. Thanks to all who had us in your prayer over the last year and 9 months while we have been going through the paperwork process. We are so excited to be ready to travel. I know God has his hand in all and will continue to work while we are in the country. Thank you Lord.

Well only 52 more days. Can't believe that we are actually going this time. We have been waiting so long and it just doesn't seem real. We are busy trying to tie up loose ends. Get our house ready to be vacant for possibly two months. Get all the church responsibilities taken care of so that we can be away. Getting our grown children prepared to take over mom and dads financial business before we leave. And of course trying to find the best deal on airline tickets. Alyssa is ready to go. She asks me every morning when she wakes up if we are going to get Kailyn now. I hope she is as thrilled with Kailyn when we bring her home. We did have a moment of her saying that she was not going to share her toys. She has changed that now and she is ready for her to be here.

Oh my gosh! We have our appointment date. It is July 11.
God is so good. It is in record time and less than two months until we travel.

Praise God.

Just got the call. Our paperwork is submitted to the SDA today. So now we wait. Pray for the Lifeline team as they travel to the Ukraine to meet with the staff there. We will be now waiting for an appointment date. Praise God we are on our way again. It is like being 5-6 months pregnant. God is awesome.

It is April 4 and we are still waiting. We are told that our paperwork will be submitted on April 24. We have redone and redone paperwork once again. We are still in need of our fingerprints at the INS office. We hopefully will get them done next week. I keep saying that but hopefully that is the plan. We are just waiting anxiously for the 24th. Of course that is not the end we will then wait again for our SDA appointment. God's timing is perfect, we know that. So keep us in your prayers as we continue to wait. We are watching several couples that are in the Ukraine now and are enjoying their time there. Lots of help in our planning to go. It will be much warmer when we get to travel than we initially thought. I like warm. That will be much better.

Well December 28 brought some bad news. The dossier that was to have been submitted on October 8 was not submitted. We were not alone, there were two other families that are also facing the same circumstances. We are not updating some paperwork and hoping for a submission as soon as the country reopens on February 8. So our travel time should be sometime in May or June. This was very disheartening but as our oldest daughter said. "Kailyn is not ready to come home yet mom." So for now that is our words of encouagement was we wait once again. We know that God has a plan it is just very hard to wait on it sometimes. Keep us in your prayers.
