Here are two pictures of Kevin and Alyssa at the airport in Dallas with all the luggage.
I went to get the car and Kevin had to take Alyssa to the bathroom with all of this by himself. That was a trick. They did manage. Wasn't easy. Alyssa pulled a little luggage by herself.
I will try to post more tomorrow. Breanne is here with us tonight and she and Alyssa are having a sleep over in their room.

Ah, no worries. It's probably about what we took and we survived just fine. Yup, it's a lot, but you're also traveling with a child. That makes a big difference. Some things just shouldn't be left home under those circumstances! Those who tell you it's too much didn't take their kids with them...and those who tell you to leave her home also never took their kids. In the long run, you'll be a lot more glad Alyssa and all her junk are with you than you will be lamenting that you're hauling a lot of luggage.
However, If you end up in some far-off region, don't be surprised if your facilitator recommends that you fly rather than take the train. We drove out to never-never land in a mini van (standard fare for everyone who uses our adoption team) but we flew back to Kiev.
Oh, and just in case you still think it's too much stuff - just for the giggles of it, I will tell you that by the time we packed all the souveniers and stuff for 2 more kids coming home, we had to buy yet another suitcase in Ukraine to get everything home. :-)
Happy trails!
Oh My Word! It that all going to Ukraine with you? I was hoping to have 1 suitcase and a backpack!
May God guide you and watch over you while you are traveling and during your journey. We will watch for DAILY blogging! LOL
Hope to see you soon Tammy and remember to look left and right for me!
Besos,
Lisa
Any way you can leave 1 or 2 of those bags behind in Dallas? Just trying to be helpful, as I know what a pain it was for us, with just 2 rolling suitcases & 1 rolling duffel :)
Enjoy your last day on U.S. soil!
Best wishes on your journey. We look forward hearing all about it!
I think that is just about right for travelling with a small child for a three month trip! We are proud of y'all for taking on such an enormous expedition. We love you! We'll keep an eye out for your postings.
You may get a little tired of lugging the luggage around, but its definitely doable.
Have a wonderful trip! We can't wait to hear all about your flight and SDA appointment! :)
I can't wait to show my husband these pictures - he's convinced that we are going to take a carry on each... only! That's all. He doesn't want us to have to check anything. I seriously have no idea how we can do that, and I'm not taking any kids along.
Can't wait to hear from you once you're there!
I don't think that is too much luggage. Coming from someone who packs a bag just for makeup alone (per my husband Ken) LOL. Take care and I look forward to reading about your journey.
Doesn't look like too much! I know how hard it was to make sure you had everything you might need. I can appreciate the humorous side of it knowing Kevin and our "lucy" history!!! May prayers and love go with you all. Miss you much already.
