We got a call from the doctor last night and Kailyn does have Turner's Syndrome. So now we will start the treatment for growth Hormones. She will not need anything else for about 8 more years. We will also have an ecocardiogram on Kailyn. Turner's Syndrome patients tend to have heart problems.

I'm sorry to hear this - but relieved, too, as I'm sure you are. At least you know what is going on now and you can treat it. Might not be the most fun thing in the world to deal with, but at least there is stuff you can to do to help her. Hang in there!
Tammy, I'm so glad you have a direction with Kailyn and a way to help her.
Alan and I really enjoyed talking to you last night. Thank you for sharing with us. I stayed up way too late reading your blog. We are moved by your story and by the Ukraine children.
Is it common for a family to be offered a sibling group? I've read it's rare for siblings to be available, so do you think your case was unusual?
Thanks so much!
Blessings, Lillian
My niece with Turner's does not have heart problems. I'm praying that this is true for your daughter, as well.
God bless,
Heather
