Some sad news

Madyi (our Great Dane) delivered one puppy naturally yesterday around 1 pm. It was a little girl. Then they did a cesarian to deliver one full term and two undeveloped fetus's. The full term little girl did not make it though. We brought home the first Faith, the first female born. Madyi had a hysterectomy and then we picked her up at 5:30. She didn't take to the puppy so I set out to be her mom. I guess I am not very experienced at puppy momming. Around 3 am this morning we lost her. Alyssa is having a hard time with it this morning and so are we all. We are a little attached to our animals around here. Madyi is doing well and she will recover. So we are trying to get back on a normal schedule today.

We will continue our packing and gathering of information for the adoption. We can hardly wait to travel.

So sad. We, too, are quite attached to our dog (a jack russell terrier) so I completely understand the heartache and trauma. I'm especially praying for Alyssa right now.

thanks for your prayers. They mean a lot to us. She is handling the tragedy pretty well today.

Sorry to hear about your puppies. We lost our Ginger girl (yellow lab) after 11 years. We adopted 2 more black labs from the pound. One is half great dane. He has a wonderful personality.

Thank you for your comment on our blog. We will pray for you as you travel. Isn't it nice to have so many people from all over praying for you while you travel? That is what I love about blogging. You make so many great friends you never would have known and they are going through the same things you are. You have waited a long time. I look forward to following your journey.
